Both men are missing all or part of one leg but regularly participate in outrigger canoeing. The pari drove from Newport Beach to assist with the event where participants had the opportunity to try several different paddle sports. The Challenged Athletes Foundation established the Operation Rebound fund to provide sports opportunities and support for troops, veterans and first responders who have suffered permanent physical injuries in the line of duty.
