A San Diego Police Officer pushes a young boy on a shopping cart towards the Sports Arena Target store in San Diego for the annual Shop-with-a-Cop event on December 1, 2007. Three hundred disadvantaged children were bused to Sea World early on Saturday morning where they were paired up with a police officer for the event. After breakfast they drove to the store in a convoy of more than three hundred police vehicles with sirens blaring, lights flashing and Santa waving from a police helicopter hovering above them. Each child had a $100 gift card to spend and many choose to buy clothes, for themselves, their siblings or parents instead of toys.
