Monday December 8, 2008: University City, San Diego California. Col. Chris O'Connor, the commanding officer of the Marine Corp Air Station Miramar address the media at the scence where a military jet from his air station crashed into a residential home killing at least 3 civilians. At approximately 11:59am a USMC F-18 fighter jet encountered trouble over this residential area of the city and the pilot ejected leaving his aircraft to crash into a residential neighborhood.
